The Structure of the Pier at Santa Barbara
The following images show my work on boards covered with canvas. Using acrylic paint and oil bar, I am translating my drawings on sight into canvas.
The work is becoming more abstract, as I become more concerned with the essence of the space, it colour and the sense of structure imposed on seascape, rather than providing a literal translation of the pier built into the seascape.
